Why hire a lawyer?
There are many reasons to hire a lawyer, rather than take on a claim alone.
- Your claim requires a negotiator with the knowledge and experience to fully develop and document the claim before ever negotiating with an insurance company. It is no secret that an insurance company will rarely pay an individual what their claim is worth without an attorney involved. Our attorneys believe that thorough preparation is the key to recovering as much as possible for our clients.
- If you do not have a doctor you are comfortable with, we can refer you to one of Tulsa's finest medical service providers with little or no up front costs to you. The physicians we work with understand that sometimes people involved in accidents do not have adequate health insurance and cannot receive appropriate medical attention on their own. We can put you in touch with the right medical service provider, who will wait until after the claim is resolved for their compensation. We only work with the finest physicians because your recovery is our first priority.
- We can often negotiate with the medical service providers for the best possible rates so that you are not gauged. Unfortunately, many attorneys work with doctors to run up your medical bills so that they can recover a large amount of money, only to pay themselves and the doctors, leaving you with nothing. We believe this is wrong and are committed to putting as much money in your pocket as possible at the end of your case.
- We often settle the property damage to your vehicle at no cost to you. In fact, many times we are able to put you in a rental car while your vehicle is being repaired at no cost to you.
- We work on a contingency fee basis. If you do not recover, we do not get paid. Accordingly, we want to recover as much for you as possible.

What do I do if I am in an accident?
There are many steps you need to take, in order to help your claim if you are involved in an accident. Here are some of the most important things to do:
- Obtain the name, address and phone number of the other driver.
- Obtain the insurance information from the other driver.
- CALL THE POLICE TO MAKE A REPORT. If the other party is at fault, never let them talk you into not making a report.
- Obtain the name, address and phone number of any witnesses.
- Take photographs of the accident scene and vehicles involved, if possible. Certainly take photographs of the damage to your vehicle.
- Take photographs of any injuries you or your passengers have sustained.
- Seek medical attention immediately, if you even suspect you may be in any way
hurt. Even if you are not hurt, be sensitive to how your body feels for the days following the accident as adrenaline will often hide the damage to your body for an extended period of time. Follow the doctor's advice to the letter. Never miss an appointment.
- Immediately after the car wreck, make notes of the facts leading up to the accident. Note the conditions. Was it raining? What time of day did the accident occur? Did anyone make any statements about the accident? Were any of the drivers working at the time of the accident?
- Never make statements about liability. Do not say "I am sorry, it was my fault." Only report to the police statements of fact, such as when and where the accident occurred.
- Make a detailed record of any work you miss because of the accident, including doctor's appointments. You may be entitled to any lost wages caused by the accident.
- PLEASE NOTE, it is usually not in your best interest to make a recorded statement to any insurance company about the specific facts involved in the accident without consulting your attorney. These statements can be evidence that is used against you in your case.
